better" for your kids? Ever wonder “what to teach when?” Get nervous and
uncomfortable hearing what your kids are exposed to? Feel like you have
no language to responsively parent? Ever have a moment when your own
internal reaction surprised you and made you think, “Hmm, I should
probably examine my values around this!”
If so, please join us for Our Whole Lives – Parents As Sexuality
Educators. Our Whole Lives is a comprehensive, values-based, life-span
sexuality curriculum serving all humans kindergarten through older
adults, and we will be offering a hybrid six-week series for parents at
the Nurture Nook on Wednesdays from 7:30 - 9 PM August 28 – October 2nd.
Course Fee: $150 (no one turned away for lack of funds, please contact
us if in need of scholarship). This curriculum is designed for parents
of children aged 4-17.

Please note, the first (Aug 28) and last sessions (Oct 2) will be held
in-person at the Nurture Nook in Merrifield, and the other sessions will be
held via Zoom. You are permitted to miss 2 of the 6 sessions (not the
first 2), though your full participation is ideal due to the nature of
the course. A confidential space is needed to participate in the virtual

About the Facilitator: Ashley Curl, LCSW, CGP, is a local licensed
clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience facilitating OWL
in Brooklyn, DC, and Northern Virginia, facilitating almost all levels
from kindergarten through adult. She is OWL certified in K-1, grades
4-6, 7-8, and 10-12. Ashley has worked professionally as a social worker
with adults, children, families, and youth in schools, foster care,
child welfare, anti-violence and outpatient mental health settings since
